Great pie! My first time ever trying it so I figured I'd better do it right and come here! The pie is a bit of an acquired taste as it's very tart in an odd way if you're more of a sweets person, but still well made...and the crust was to die for!

Awesome Key Lime Coconut Pie! Forget expensive desserts at the area restaurants, just stop by here for a slice of heavenly pie! Customer service was excellent as they helped us bag up an entire frozen pie to take home on an 8hr drive. We stopped by each night for a slice while on vacation and truly enjoyed our pie and visit! The key to great pie is fresh coconut and limes...

Came in here around 9:00pm or so Quick service. Checked into yelp and for $1 off a slice of pie. Very, very rich key lime pie almost like a cheesecake consistency. pretty sharp lime flavor, which as nice... But there wasn't nearly enough whipped cream for that bad boy. Oh well...I survived. ;) Also had a cappuccino that paired lovely with the pie. Glad they had coffee service ! Almost went with the coconut key lime pie...but I figured I should stick with the original first. Nice little spot, but I look forward to testing out other spots In the area for comparison.

Love key lime pie and had to try it in Key West. This had great reviews so gave it a try. Wasn't impressed. Tasted like many key lime pies I've had including one that I make from scratch at home. So it's not a must have if you eat it often. I guess those that don't would like it more.

Their posted hours are until 11pm but they were closed well before then tonight. That's not ok.

My first visit here was in May and I was ignored even though there was only one other patron in the store, when I got to the counter, the guy didn't have the time of day for me but had much to say to the other customer. Booooo! This last visit in June, the exact opposite, I was greeted and felt like a valued customer. The pie was good but not tart enough for me. I'm not giving marks off for that, but for the cold shoulder on my first visit.

The service was amazing. The two ladies are very very friendly and they are willing to help the tourists in any way. I am basing my rating on their coconut and key lime pie. They are made right there where you can see the preparation and smell the pies cooking. The crust layer was ok but the other two layers( one coconut and one key lime) were on the mild side. I expected the pie to be better. It was not bad, but it didn't fulfill my expectations either. They have a large range of key lime snacks and candies. I took a couple but haven't opened them yet. Next time ill try their chocolate covered frozen key lime pie stick.

The older lady who served us was really nice, she recommended us to try the flavors before we decided. It's $4 for a small cup. The ice creams were okay, not out of the ordinary. We did not try the key lime pies , they just didn't look that great. I would definitely try to get gelatos for the same price at Duettos pizza

The key lime pie is substantial while the service is always busy with conversations than the actual customers. Would not recommend to anyone who wants good key lime pie.

I have been on the island for a week and still haven't had a slice of key lime pie. So today I decided to go get some. And I'm so glad I did because it was delicious. The pie tasted like they used fresh limes, which they probably do. The lime flavor overpowered any sweetner, which I loved, because I don't like extremely sweet things. I give it 5 stars. The coconut shop next door was pretty cool too. All kinds of different gifts.

When you're in the Florida Keys, you can find Key Lime Pie at almost every roadside joint from Key West to Key Largo. But if you want to taste pies that are truly wonderful, the Key Lime Republic is just the ticket. The folks here are cooking up the "Real McCoy" - tart, creamy pies made from an original family recipe using 100% pure Key Lime juice, cuddled on a graham cracker crust and topped with whipped cream. You can devour it by the slice, on a stick dipped in chocolate or take home a whole pie. They make everything right on the premises - including "Grandma Boots" coconut-key lime pie.

First time visiting Key West, First time trying key lime pie. Soooo i love limes .. i've joked that i need a lime tree in my condo with as much limes as i consume, yet for some reason I'd never tried Key lime pie. I usually go for chocolate or coconut when it comes to pie. so what better place than Key West for my first foray into the key lime pie biz. Looked up reviews on yelp and yelpers didnt disappoint. We went with the key-lime coconut flavor and it was heavenly! The crust was perfect.. the filling was not overly sweet. The sweetness of the coconut perfectly balanced out the tartness of the lime. Now i love tart .. don't get me wrong.. but in desserts not so much... The same with coconut.. i love coconut but sometimes in desserts it can turn out to be too rich; so much so that i can only handle one bite and be done. But this was not the case here. Bottom line.. the lime-coconut is a perfect marriage of sweet and tart and the crust is perfect as well .. not too flaky not too buttery. I'm a fan! So much so.. we went back for one more for the road! :) Needless to say the 2nd pie didn't make it back to Miami.

I stopped in here for a slice of its namesake. So often in Key West the pies are too sweet. This pie was nice and tart. It was the best Key Lime Pie I had while in Key West. The staff was friendly, and the cup of coffee I had with my pie was tasty as well. The store sells all sorts of related items. This would be a good place to pick up a gift for someone when stopping in the keys.

  • Christopher W.

The best place on the island for Key Lime Pie featuring a very tart edition. They also feature the Key Lime Cake that is great for gifts when your there on a cruise and you need something that won't spoil while you travel.

  • Mal W.

Of all the fabulous places to grab a slice of key lime pie, this falls way to the bottom for me. Way too tart, and not in the good way. It might be exactly how some people like their pie, but it was almost too painful for me to finish eating it. If you absolutely must try a slice, bring a can of whipped cream with you to help ease your taste buds into the experience.

Key West if full of Key Lime choices - and I honestly think this shop, away from the crowds of Duval Street, is the best. First, they have key lime cookies. They are so good, and they are actually made in Key West! Actually, they have key lime everything from tea to marinade. And, best of all, they dip their key lime pie into chocolate and serve it on a stick. Amazing.

    (4)
  • Von G.

Our quest was to try all the key lime pie we could and see who made the best one. This place is the BEST. Fresh!!!! They make it there and sell it there too.

You must be a Key Lime Pie lover in order to understand what I'm about this. It's not easy to find a Key Lime Pie where you actually taste the flavor of the Key Lime; usually, you just feel the taste of flavorings and sometimes you don't even notice it... Until... You taste the real thing! If you come into the store you will get to try regular or coconut Key Lime Pie; my advise, try both. You can sit down, enjoy a piece of pie and a coffee or you can just take it home. Also, you can't miss the Tortuga Rum Cake at a very very good price, in a no-end kind of flavors, my personal favorites: original, pineapple and chocolate (I wish you could get a slice in the store like you do with the pies). The employees are very friendly and welcoming! Thanks you guys!

When in Key West...I came here because of the reviews and because it's quite famous. I was a bit surprised that it looked more like a gift shop than like a cafe which is more what I was expecting. I ordered the key lime pie while my friend ordered the coconut pie. It was already cut and served up in these individual containers for pie slices with a bit of whipped cream. I liked the graham cracker crust. I liked the filling but surprisingly it's not the best I've ever had. There's a place in Brooklyn that makes it way better. I liked the coconut cream pie more actually. But the service was excellent and the store was filled up to the neck with key lime inspired doodads which was enjoyable to look through. I wouldn't come back though.

  • Jacob C.

OK so you're in Key West and its mandatory that you try the key lime pie from one of the popular spots.. We tried it from this place and were underwhelmed. It was Ok, but I've had better at chain restaurants at points wayyy further north. It seemed pretty "tourist trappy" to me and the piece was kinda small. I'll try another local spot tomorrow and see how it goes.......

  • C M.

This pie should come with a warning that it is EXTREMELY tart. Thankfully the whipped cream on top helped a little but with that. Taffies are really good however (and are also good at combating your tart face after taking a bite of the pie).

  • Teri D.

You can get a slice of key lime pie anywhere on KW but I decided to come here based on the reviews. It was a bit out of the way from our hotel but I had to give it a try and happy I did. Of all of the places I had the pie (and I had it at a lot of different restaurants) the factory here had the pie with the most tartness of them all. I mean you tasted the key lime in their slices and it had a nice consistency; not soft or mousse like. It was good stuff. They also had key lime everything else for sale in the store (cookies, candies, the juice, ornaments, etc.) Give it a try and then compare it to the others.

Not very impressed... Arrived right as they were "supposed" to open. The woman looked at us waiting outside in the rain, and turned around and acted like she didn't see us. First turn off. Luckily the guy who owns the shop next door wanted coffee, so she opened up. When I walked in she left the door open, so i asked her if she wanted me to close it since it was raining. She said why would I want it closed, I'm open. Second turn off. We really wanted to get a key lime pie before we left and this place had good reviews. All they had were frozen pies with a date on it that was 6 days old. So I asked if they made the pies here themselves. I guess that offended her because she replied smartly to me of course they do. I was simply curious since I'm not from here. Third turn off. To the woman with the curly hair that opened Tuesday morning - learn some manners and have some respect for others. If you don't like your job, get another one. The only thing that gave this place 2 stars was the actual pie itself. It was pretty tasty, but definitely nowhere close to the best I had on the island.

  • Debbie V.

Fresh moist key lime pie. For my taste, I'd like just a bit more whipped cream on top, but other than this, great pie.

    (4)
  • Pasquale R.

Supposedly the best Key Lime Pie in KW. I will be the judge of that. Similar to most places we went to HOWEVER we decided to try something different. They have a coconut Key Lime Pie...one word: amazing. Creamy, coconut-y, graham cracker crust-y...dreamy. Smaller, souvenir shop looking place but don't let that fool you. They have a few tables throughout the sections where you can sit down and enjoy a slice of heaven. We also purchased some cookies to bring back to Jersey. Definitely worth a stop to try their CKLP. ENJOY!

    (5)
  • Julie A.

Key lime pie has the consistency of cheesecake, but more limey. Definitely more limey and tangy. I had to put some whipped cream to calm the tartness down. This place opened my eyes. The consistency is much better than the gel-ish consistency that i'm used to eating at places that claim their pies are "key lime." psshh yeah right! Now I know what the real deal tastes like! I wanted to ship this pie to a certain someone, but they no longer do key lime pie shipments. This is the only latitude where key lime is grown but alas, you must come here in person to try the real deal or get one of their recipe books and a jar of the key lime juice to make the pie yourself at home. And unfortunately, I'm not that great of a cook. Lol. There are a lot of other key lime themed gifts here, including key lime cookies, candles, and other key lime souvenirs. They also have coffee here in case you need to wake up after eating too much pie. If you want to try the real deal key lime pie, make this a stop on your culinary itinerary!

  • Katie S.

In term of key lime pie it was very good. I had tried so many on this trip and this one didnt stand out. I just know I liked it. The slice was a little small in comparison to others.

    (4)
  • Frank S.

Great key lime place and they make everything from key lime. Good people and definitely must visit place when you are in the area.

    (5)
  • Alexis M.

I am a key lime pie fanatic. I love that there are so many different key lime products. However, the man who was running the cash register was plain RUDE. We spent a good amount of money, and we should have gotten better customer service. He forgot my key lime pie on a stick after bagging out products. After reminding him, I got the response "you are on island time, you need to chill out". I will not be back to this store if he is working.

    (1)
  • JC G.

Their Key Lime Pie does not taste as sour as the others I tasted around the island (which is good). Their best, however, is their Key Lime Coconut Pie which brought out the flavor of the island.

    (4)
  • S C.

Great service here. We got a slice of the key lime pie and it was pretty good - light and tart.

    (4)
  • Michael D.

The best key lime pie I've ever had. It's tart like it should be, yet full of flavor. Stay off Duval street and visit this place if key lime pie is what you seek.

    (5)
  • Irene H.

This is where I had my first and second slice of key lime pie. There is barely any room to eat there, so I picked up two slices to eat at the hotel. I ended up going here because they were still open (late). I liked the coconut key lime pie more than the key lime pie which was much tartier. It was good but not amazing (I liked Blue Heaven's meringue version more). If you want to get key lime paraphernalia, you're in luck.

    (3)
  • Huyen T.

They make their Key Lime pie at the shop, pie was really good. It was like 5 bucks for a slice of pie, but it was worth it! I only stop by because we were on a cruise. I got my buddies to go with me to try it hahaha. It was a cute little shop, they had packaged lime related items. Like lime soap, and stuff like that.

  • April R.

Yum! This was my first real key lime pie in Key West and it was delicious. At the end of my Florida vacation I had tried many key lime pies and this was still my favorite of them all. They have many items here made of key limes, many seemed over priced but I guess that is to be suspected. Great gifts to bring back home for friends and family. I really liked the key lime cookies as well.

    (4)
  • Mike O.

The new look is vibrant and refreshing. It is very welcoming and family friendly. I love how you see the pies being made and the staff was friendly. The pies are light and tasty. I'll have to order more to the house. I would recommend as a destination for families.

Great little business. Had key lime pie and coconut pie, and returned a few days later for more.

I was planning my wedding, and I wanted to do something more "island-like" than a wedding cake - so I found this place and their chocolate dipped frozen key lime pie! Planning from Arizona, I had to go based on others' reviews - and I can honestly say this place has the BEST pie!! I basically ate my weight in Key Lime pie - trying everyone's pie once I got to the island - and I just kept coming back to the Pie Factory. The staff was SO amazing to work with - and their Coconut Key Lime pie is truly incredible - and I am NOT a coconut fan. They have an awesome gift shop too: my husband thanks you for the super cool Florida Gator Coconut! :) We'll be back for more!!!

    (5)
  • Grace C.

I had the Key Lime Pie on the stick covered in chocolate and I LOVED every bite of it. I thought it would be an odd combination but it really worked because the chocolate was dark and not too sweet. Service was friendly. I love all the different things they sell here. Perfect place to pick up a souvenir or gifts. The coconut souvenirs in the adjoining shop were also fun to look at!

  • Esther Z.

I had Key Lime pie @ (KLP) from Kermit's and two restaurants. I liked the tartness and crust of this places KLP more than the other 3 places. KLP likes/dislike is like drinking Scotch and wine. It's good only if Y-O-U like it; a very personal choice. None of us are wrong; just have different palettes. Give this place a try before you rate the best KLP in KW though. :-) They have Key Lime everything including tea.

  • Carrie M.

Absolutely delicious! This is the real deal, nice and tart key lime pie!! Neither the crust nor the whipped cream is over kill. It's all filling, the true star of the show! Highly recommend stopping here, in fact this is our 2nd year and we knew exactly where to go to eat the best! Additional items can be bought in the store. Staff is extremely friendly and will go out of their way to help you out!! Just a short stroll off Duval street, don't miss out!!!

  • Jeff L.

Delicious key lime-coconut pie. A great twist on the traditional key lime pie. Also has a wide array of key lime treats in addition to pie (I never knew Key Lime Honey existed, for example)

    (4)
  • Joy C.

I wish I could give it more than 5 stars! Absolutely delicious. Home made. Loved everything about it. The owner/staff member was very kind. My husband accidentally dropped his half eaten slice, and she gave him a free one. We didn't even ask for it :) love the warm feel. Feels like home.

While docked on Key West with a cruise line, I wandered the streets of key west. It was hot and muggy. After hours of walking and wandering, i ended up in front of the lovely Key Lime Pie Factory. The staff are extremly sweet. They greeted us warmly when we entered. They let us look around and it didnt take too long for me to order up a slice of tart and creamy key lime pie. For $4.95 you get a hearty slab of key lime pie and I hear they have frozen key lime pie on a stick (!) and sometimes it can be dipped in chocolate (!!!). The pie was great. I cooled off a bit in the store. Great place for anyone looking to make key lime pie or even getting key lime flavored anything. Awesome.

    (5)
  • Hli H.

Delicious pies and nice selection of souvenirs for great prices. The staff here is very welcoming and knowledgeable. We tried all three pies they carry (key lime, coconut cream, and coconut cream and key lime). We left with two of the coconut cream and key lime pies-that's how much we loved it. Yes, we did a key lime pie tour of Key West and we liked the pies from here the best.

    (5)
  • A P.

Great key lime pie, and coconut key lime pie! Tart and not for the publix key lime taste bud, but if you want the real thing, this is it! They are the only key lime facility on the island who has a kitchen in house! Four stars is for the gift shoppy atmosphere and storefront. Though they do have the kitchen in house, I didn't see anyone working in it. Either way, the pie is worth it!

    (4)
  • Doris Z.

just lemon cheese cake too sweet

    (2)
  • Janet D.

Very good and TART key lime pie I am a fan. They also make great cappuccino's. Must try when in Key West

    (5)
  • Paul G.

Came in to buy chocolate key lime and key lime cake. They were wonderful!!! Best to put the cake in refrigerator for few hours then came out awesome!

    (4)
  • Phuong O.

I got the original key lime pie. I also got the key lime pie dipped in chocolate from Kermit to do a comparison. I think the tart filling here is a bit too sour/limey but the best part is the whipped cream on the top which helps balance out the flavor. Not bad, $5ish for a tiny slice as expected.

    (4)
  • Vivian A.

OUTSTANDING Key Lime Pie!!! My group and I did the comparison taste test with KW and The Key Lime Pie Factory is so much better!!!! It's the perfect texture, authentic, creamy, tart, and downright delicious !!! We had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his team - they were super nice and generous !!! If you want the BEST pies in Key West, look no further !!! It's truly AMAZING !!! Oh yeah, we also tried their Coconut Cream Pie and the 1/2&1/2 Key Lime/Coconut Cream Pie and all three pies are CRAZY DELICIOUS !!!!

Stopped in Key West for a day while on a cruise. Last thing I got before getting back on the ship was a Key Lime Pie. It was the perfect treat on a sunny day - the smooth and tart filling balanced out by the whipped cream and crunchy crust. Lots of lime souvenirs for sale as well. Cute little shop!

    (4)
  • Mike M.

We stopped in to this store solely based on the address. Fellow cruisers told us that we MUST go the the Blond Giraffe if we wanted Key Lime Pie. Well, after a stop at Kermits Key Lime, they told us that the Blond Giraffe was no longer in business. Thinking that they were just telling us this so we would shop at Kermits, we googled it and were given an address not to far away for the Blond Giraffe. Upon arriving at our destination, we found the Key Lime Factory, and I was sorry I didn't find it first! The Key Lime coconut pie was to die for. And I found my Key Lime candy I love (Butterfields) as well as key lime juice (cheaper than the one I bought at Kermits). I just wish they offered shipping to my home. I'm dying for a piece right now! So, don't waste your time going to Kermits. The service and prices are way better here!

    (5)
  • Stephanie W.

Always searching out great Key Lime Pie, and I think we have finally found it. We were told they were the most popular, which says everyone eats it. I have to agree the pie has just enough sweetness to balance the tart of the Key Lime. Maybe we'll place an order for home? :)

    (4)
  • Rachel W.

Oh my gosh! Best Key Lime Pie in Key West! So tangy and perfect. Pucker up! The pie is smooth and creamy. They also have a half and half pie which is half coconut pie and half key lime. My husband loved it. I am a big fan and will be back when we get a chance to visit Key West again.

    (5)
  • Charlie J.

If you come here you need to try both the key lime and coconut pies!!

    (5)
  • Kimmie T.

Awesome place pies and service - staff is really great and knows their pie questions. They offer free samples if you are not sure which one to get and that's a plus

    (5)
  • Kelli S.

I'm not a huge fan of key lime pie but I felt I had to give it a try. I love coconut though and they have a key lime coconut pie that I tried a slice of. It was super creamy and had the perfect balance of tart and sweet. The lady behind the counter was really nice too.

    (5)
  • Kevin L.

The pie was delicious and the employees were exceptionally friendly. We got a whole pie, ate half there and they bagged the rest for us to go. Even bought a lime related gift for our friends back home in Reno, NV.

  • JT L.

Key Lime......Not sure what's the big deal about it... It is everywhere in south Florida.... If you go any decent restaurants or bakery shops, they all have it. And they all taste pretty good. If a store is named "Key Lime Pie Factory & The Coconut Factory", I would like to see what they can "factory" out a Key lime pie that is different or superior than the other places....Which is pretty much nothing in this case. The only difference it might be different from other places in south Florida is they add coconut in their "key lime coconut pie"....Which you can get from Polly's.... Don't waste your time to come here, just go out and enjoy the small town/ beach in Key West.

    (3)
  • Chica B.

The only two thing I can say: 1) you can't leave the Key West without trying their famous key lime pie. 2) If you leave Key West without trying the key lime pie then you never been to Key West.

    (4)
  • Ben H.

Stopped in just for the pie. I was not disappointed. The pie was tart and smooth. Good crust as well.

    (4)
  • Norris P.

Two items, first being the extremely poor customer service, noted in several other posts. I guess the employees are upset we came in ONLY 25 minutes before closing. The second is... Seriously, $66 for a pie? And I understand that it's $X cheaper than the competition, but we found a slightly larger and delicious alternative for considerably less. I did see 'The Profit' and expected something more. Google where you can buy key like pies in Key West and you'll find plenty of great alternatives.

    (1)
  • DV P.

Wow. I had one of the traditional slices and two of the coconut slices, and they are, without reservation, the best key lime pies (KLPs) I have ever tasted, surpassing even the four other South Florida locations where I've had KLPs. Each pie was exquisitely creamy, and I felt with each bite that I was being transported to some idyllic tropical getaway, not unlike the effect aimed for in certain commercials. To top it off, the ladies working the counter were also super nice and accommodating to my dog, Dethan, who is a big fan of their fantastic pies. Again, wow.

  • Cynthia L.

Key Lime Pie on a stick dipped in chocolate? Yes! Key Lime Pie Factory is a crazy crazy place for key lime pie lovers. I must confess that I've never had key lime pie before. I don't love sweets but the pie has that tangy flavor which makes me go back for more and more. And not only do they have pie, they have key lime pie dressing, cookies, salsa, dips, oil, gel, etc! It's endless. Also, in the back there is a nice seating area with a pond with Koi fish. And the baker is in the backroom and sometimes he'll come out with his awesome green hat .

    (5)
  • Olga M.

A little pricey for a little slice of pie. The Key Lime pie was too sweet but the Coconut Cream pie was just right. I suggest you try other shops...there are plenty.

    (3)
  • Luke T.

You can see Sloppy Joes from here. Pie is refreshingly good.

    (3)
  • Joe L.

Reviews seem to be all over the map on yelp when it comes to food and restaurants, very subjective and somewhat confusing. For the Key Lime Pie Factory it's no different, one review says it's too sweet, another says it's too tart. I've tried several of the many shops from Key West to Miami and this bakery makes the best one in my opinion. I've been making & eating key lime pies since I was 8, had a huge tree in a home we had in Key Largo and we still make them today with real key lime juice, not lime juice! Key Lime Pie Factory gets it right. Great shop too, owners work store and are very friendly, going out of their way to tell you about how they make the pies as well as all the hard work they put into their store. Great job, it was a pleasure meeting and doing biz with you. We will be back.

    (5)
  • Yolanda Y.

The pie was fine, the coffee was alright too. Maybe it's because we were here in the afternoon, maybe it's because it was kind of dead and they were getting ready to close, or at least it seemed like it. The store front is full of these crappy little souvenirs which I think takes the atmosphere down a notch, especially because some of those trinkets are downright offensive.

  • Will T.

This cute little shop is where I chose to indulge in a slice of Key Lime pie while visiting the island. It was homemade in the on-site kitchen and delicious, but pie is only a small fraction of what this shop does. It is chock full of fun products, including Tortuga rum cakes in a variety of sizes and flavors, plus everything Key Lime. Tins of Key Lime cookies, made by the Byrd Cookie Co. in Savannah, rest alongside bottles of key lime juice, key lime coconut patties, key lime truffles, key lime dessert cake, key lime curd, key lime bbq sauce, key lime tea and key lime whole bean coffee. Well, you get the picture! It's a great place to pick up something to take home, a way to enjoy your key lime high even longer.

    (4)
  • Dave S.

They have some amazing pie here to enjoy on your visit! But wait... There is more... They also sell the key ingredients to take home and make your own authentic desserts! We always stop here for a slice of delicious pie but we also get a bottle of key lime juice to we can make our our own in the comfort of our own home!

    (5)
  • Kim W.

Compared side by side slices between here and Kermit's. Key Lime Pie Factory is significantly better...has a tart flavor and the consistency is smooth, fluffy, and buttery. And of course the yummy graham cracker crust! Good key lime pie but gotta say it's not the best I've ever had. Still worth a stop by to try!

    (4)
  • Kat S.

We tried the chocolate sipped frozen key lime pie and all 4 of us agreed that this was better than Kermit's. However Kermit's offers samples (hot sauces were amazing) and really good plain unfrozen key line pie.

I was on a mission. After returning from our shore excursion, we had 10 minutes to board our cruise ship. But I still wanted key lime pie before leaving Key West. Apparently the Blonde Giraffe store was closed for good. A local told us that Kermit's had the best key lime pie on the island. Unfortunately we only had minutes to spare so we walked into Key-Lime Pie Outlet (the name did not sound promising to me). The lady behind the counter almost immediately recommended key lime pie dipped in Belgian chocolate served on a stick. They give you your pie on a stick atop a styrofoam plate to cut down the messy factor. A generous slice of pie will set you back about $5. A little too tart for my taste but the rich chocolate helped to balance it out. Overall, friendly and quick service that is a minute or two walk from the port with so-so pie.

Sure it's cute. The pie on a stick was good, too. Definitely too rich for one person, even for a self-professed chocoholic and I-live-off-all-things-Key-Lime while visiting Key West sort-a-gal. But at almost $6 I'd rather go to "Kermie's." Not worth it here. Seems to cater to the cruise ship crowd who are frantically trying to take it all in and fast. So if you aren't in a hurry, I say, go to Kermit's instead. Their whole pie was pretty damn tasty and more reasonably priced, as were their white chocolate key lime to-die-for cookies.

So for this place, I'd give the ice cream 5 stars. Very tangy but also pricey! Kids cone cost you $2.50. Great flavor though. There were no samples for us to try so I would have bought some stuff if there were samples, again, there could have been but none was offered to us. And it wasn't crowded at all. Oh and look at the products here, most of them are not made in Key Lime, FL. They are made elsewhere so I opted not to buy it if it wasn't made locally.

Gluten free key lime pie to die for! Soooo creamy and the gluten free "graham" cracker crust was yummy. My husband said it was the best key lime pie he's ever had. I love all the unique sauces, marinades and dips they have and they make great gifts.

I'm not historically a huge fan of key lime pie, but I've been told I've just never had a good one. I'm not an expert on them, but one of our friends who is a key lime nut told us we had to hunt down this neon green shack off of duval that sold key lime pie. We found this place, I sent her a photo, and she said that it looked like the right place (she hadn't been there in years). So, with a huge endorsement, we stepped in to this tiny little place. The guy who I think was the owner was pretty friendly and told us about the options and chatted with us about our trip so far. We ended up just getting a small slice of pie - a bit expensive at $5 for such a small piece - but if it's good, then no big deal. Unfortunately... not that great. Definitely not the best key lime pie we had during our trip. Most authentic? I don't know... I don't think so. This had more of a cheesecake texture to it than the other "authentic" cheesecakes we had.

Definitely not the best key lime pie I have had. It was too sweet and I just could't taste the key lime. It was very clearly just too buttery and was all around mediocre. Louie's backyard did a WAY better key lime pie that was not so sweet and was much smoother in consistency. Also, there are two locations almost next to each other on the same street. It is NOT the one with the awning but just the other first key lime pie factory sign as in the logo here. It was confusing since their website hasn't been updated in like... since the 2000s. ONline it made it out to seem like it was the best in Key West or something, but I think they are just good at marketing and using social media.

It's key lime pie for the crowd that doesn't have a lot of time to hunt for quality pie. It's good, not great, you can go find better if you read some reviews. It just depends on what you're looking for. If you're in a rush, check it out for some great to go stuff, or if you have time to try 5 or 6... make it 5th or 6th.

We bought a Key Lime pie here to bring back with us to North Carolina for Christmas, it was wonderful and enjoyed by our entire family. We bought the pie frozen. The folks at the store were very kind and gave us an insulated pouch for the pie. Side note - the shop owner warned us that the pie might not be allowed through Key West airport security, however, we had no problems, the TSA agents simply did some additional screening on the pie but let us bring it on the plane, so anyone wondering about this, they will let you through.

The best Key Lime Pie on the Key West island. It's a must go for me everytime I'm on the island (that and the Conch). The owner is very nice and talkative, the others are just like the common Key Westers, laid back and happy. The Pie was truely awesome: the crust was crumbly and sweet but not over powering, the filling was light, sweet, with just the right amount of lime flavor. So it's not a pie that you'd get sick of after a few bites. The free coffee goes great along with the pie too. And there're chairs outsidethe store, painted like the paradise, to enjoy the pie with. Also, they have good Key Lime Float, ice cream, and hot sauce. The price is typical for Key West but it's a good place to go to take a break from walking or shopping or alcohol. Not to diss the Blond Giraffe, but I think their pie is like any generic ones you find in the freezers in the supermarkets. Service was so-so and there's not really any tropical feel to the stores. Plus it's not that much cheapter anyway, typical chain stuff.

This place is incredible. We were jsut in here the other day and I loved it! Key lime pie dipped in chocolate on a stick! What more can you want? I was happy this was my first taste of key lime pie. The place gets 4 stars for cleanliness, atmosphere, clean bathrooms, and great pie. The 5th star is for the owner who is an amazingly nice woman who talked to the group I was with, told us all about living in key west for a few decades, how the pie is made, and also giving advice on the must sees around town. She is the ideal for what a small business owner should be, and because of this I will recommend that this be the go to spot for everyone for key lime pie in Key West.

This place is clearly an institution. I confess, I only tried the samples, I didn't buy a pie- we were in the middle of a evening adventure and I had no desire to walk around with a pie in my hand for the rest of the night- but I noticed the small courtyard outside and we wandered in. There we discovered a lush seating area, and an amazing koi pond! There were beautiful carved wooden owls on the borders of the pool, a large moss covered waterfall feature, behind which was another bamboo wall waterfall. And the fish were huge, all with different features and very people curious. The energy of the place was super friendly and charming. Definitely worth stopping by! The samples were also delicious.

There is less buzz about this one. I never heard it was the best or that it won any awards or had any throw downs. And with the word factory in the name that may be why. But it's not a factory. And I liked the tartness of the pie. It's a cute store as well! We also had Key Lime ice cream here and on a hot day it was welcome!

We did a taste-test with 1 slice from Outlet and 1 slice from Kermit's. They looked extremely (suspiciously) similar, both small with a few dollops of whipped cream. Outlet was far superior, with better lime taste. I would suggest doing your own taste test since there are so many opinions on the best pie, and both Outlet and Kermit's are on the same street.

Great young staff was easy to deal with. Get the famous KeyLime Pie, and try the white chocolate key lime bark. It's awesome.

We visited both their stores which happened to be a few doors apart. Apparently the new store is bigger and does the majority of the business. the lady in the older store was nice and was able to find taffy for us where the other store was completely out. We also bought there key lime cake which was not too sweet but maybe a little heavy on the salt. We were able to take advantage of their yelp deal and get a free slice of pie with our $20+ purchase. Their pie is creamier and sweeter than Kermit's. I like it better but my wife likes Kermit's. Prices are touristy so expect some mark up versus a Walgreens. They do have wall to wall key lime stuff so check them out.

So good we had to go twice. The key lime pie on a stick with chocolate is great, even if you don't love key lime pie. Great cookies too. And the manager was very accommodating and great to our kids. Highly recommend this place.

Keylime pie in Key West is A+++++++ We came here for desert and the place was small and cute. We had a taste of their famous keylime pie and it was sooo jummies! I tend to like my keylime pie a little more tarty and it totally hit the spot! They also sell packaged foods such as a variety of cookies, pie on a stick, whole frozen pies, and some others treats I can't remember. Their keylime cookies were very light and tasty. When we got back onto the boat, i was craving the pie and sadden that i didn't buy an extra one to bring back :(

Slightly too creamy for my taste, the tartness comes in almost as an aftertaste. Very strange effect. Meh, in my opinion.

The results are in! The votes are counted! We've made our decision! The Key Lime Pie Factory has The BEST Key Lime Pie! Our family's mission for Spring Break was to conduct our own official taste test of Chocolate-Covered-Key-Lime-Pie-On-a-Stick! We started near the marina and worked our way up to Duval tasting, eating, licking, all but, slurpping our Key Lime Pies. Yes, they were good, but were they GREAT?!? Only one was GREAT -- KEY LIME PIE FACTORY, Greene Street! We even ate an old fashion piece of pie -- just to make sure . . . Yes! Our decision is final . . . the real key lime juice, the egg yolks, the baking & the REAL whipped cream. You cannot find it better anywhere -- on a stick or on a plate . . . Try a slice for yourself & ENJOY!

Insanely good key lime pie and the coconut pie (new item) is even better. And this coming from a guy that is not a big coconut fan! The folks working here are extremely friendly. If you are in key west this is a must stop place for some refreshing desserts!

Oh my goodness! The key lime pie on a stick was amazing! I've never really had key lime pie before and I regret. Although everything you get up here in OH is not nearly as good. The customer service in this place is awesome! They remembered me when I came back to buy the key lime juice to attempt to make this on my own! Amazing! I need to go back to Key West & soon! LOVE IT!

This is the best key lime pie ive ever had. The pie is actually baked instead of just freezed like some of the of the other key lime pie shops that claim to egg free. This shop was actually worth driving 5 hours to experience key lime pie in the key west.

one of my good girlfriends recommended this place for key lime pie. we were about to bike ride our way home, but then my MIL had a fabulous suggesstion for dessert and coffee. we remembered that my girlfriend recommended Blonde Giraffe and my fiance looked it up. surprisingly enough, we found one right at the corner of where we were at! we got a whole key lime pie ($18) and took it home. It was yummy. tart and creamy. it even held well while we put it in the front basket of our bicycle. they also had some great stuff too. i eyed the key lime cupcakes...maybe i may sneek that in before i leave... :)

As near as I can tell, the Blond Giraffe has closed, and someone bought this little shop (formerly BG). One of the best key lime pies of our trip. Light, almost fluffy, without that heavy custurd texture found in some of the others. This place tied with Kermit's as our favorite. Indeed, it was tough to distinguish this from Kermit's - could they be the new owners? Also, a big thank-you to the guy who served us. Not only very friendly, but he nicely rushed us through while warning us to move our parked Vespas from the sidewalk as the ticket-lady was just seen in the neighborhood.

We had picked up our dinner (at Green Republic- yum!) and now needed some Key Lime Pie to take back to our hotel to watch the finale of LOST. We were lucky to find this place. The guy working the register was so helpful and nice and chatty. We got 3 big pieces of Key Lime Pie to go. I think you get a free cup of coffee with every piece, but it was 1000 degrees outside, so we declined. This pie was SO good! They also have pretty much everything you could want that is Key Lime related. Tiny store, but GOOD PIE.

Needless to say, their Key Lime Pie is absolutely delicious. I went a little overboard and bought their Key Lime Pie-filled chocolate bar, which tasted a little strange. I also got a Key Lime Pie lollipop which was tasty.

I thought it was an awesome store, clean organized. The product sold represented the theme of the store and I enjoyed all my purchases. Still have a jaw breaker to eat. We had accidentally left behind the bracelets we purchased. When we called they still had them and quickly sent them to us in the mail. We appreciated that as that was one busy store and we know that took time. Thank you for making our visit to Key West even better! You rock!
